Cereal, bagel, juice and tea in morning. chicken yorurt, fruit for break, fruit granola bar for lunch, fish, chicken or wheat pasta for supper, one roll, some salad and or bean soup. No pork, red meat, cheese, icecream, candy, cookies. No saturated fat of any kind. Jello, yogurt or a homemade blended frozen fresh fruit drink for desrt. 30 min on the treadmill and I do heavy outside construction work, I'm 49 and everything else is normal. Am I on the right track and is it possible to lower my numbers without pills. Forgot, no eggs. I'm drinking soy milk and take salmon oil pills after morn and night meals. Anyone?
Hello John Doe,
I just did a blood test myself, and my triglycerides were 447 which also is high. You want to have this level between 20 - 149 and there is an answer to lowering these levels. I have a Cholesterol level of only 176, so it dosen't mean that if your Cholesterol is lowered, that your Triglycerides will always follow. I recommend you look up the McDougall Program which was developed by Dr. John McDougall who is a medial internist which developed a healthy eating style which will explaine why you have high triglycerides, and how to lower them into the normal range.
Good Luck!
